of t.p.
- Light weight walking shoes,
such as tennies for trekking or Tivas with vibram soles.
- Tivas or flip-flops for
around town.
- Light weight clothes.
Shorts, t-shirts.
- One pair of long, light
weight pants and a short-sleeved shirt for temple wear.
- Bathing suits
- Cap or broad-brim hat
- Sweat shirt and pants,
warm socks to sleep in on trek.
- Light weight inflatable
airmattress for trek
- Zip-locs, preferably 2gallon
size, but 1gallon will do. Put camera, dry clothes, wet clothes, etc.,
in them
- Camera and some film.
Film is available here and inexpensive
- Video camera, tapes, extra tapes, extra batteries and 220-110
converter for charger.
- Journal and pens or pencils
and art supplies, including scotch tape. You will never remember the
names of all these places. Have your film one-hour developed here and
tape in journal with descriptions while you can remember the names or
ask someone. It is too late after you get home.Before leaving, write
the addresses of people you promise to send post cards to in the journal.
Include important phone numbers, if any.
- A rip-snorting good novel
for the plane. It's a long ride.
